Why Do I Need To Know?

What’s going on everyone hope everyone is ready for this semester I know I’m not!

Anyway last week I was talking about knowing the Lord and what the Bible says about it. Well this week I wanted share why we should know him. I mean what does it do for you to know the Lord?

Besides the millions of reasons I could tell you I am going to sum it all up in one word… LOVE. THAT’S RIGHT THIS BIG 6’4 270LBS BLACK MAN said love.

Listen, from my own experience the Lord loved me when I didn’t love my self. After going from girl to girl, party-to-party, and club-to-club I still found myself empty.

I tried to find it in basketball and that failed; I tried to find it in acting Christian and that made it worse! Then I found that Jesus is so in love with me that he died for me and better still he is passionate about our relationship! Exodus 34:14

And peace only came after I started to get to know him and his ways. I don’t have it all figured out and no one does, but all I can say is that I do follow the Lord and learn from him everyday and I know a lot about him and am learning more everyday!

But on top of that I don’t know what you have heard but there is a little place called Heaven and from what I hear it’s pretty cool and I think I might want to go there! Well the only way there is through knowing the Lord Jesus.

Trust me… I don’t care what the world says or what they may teach us at WT or any other school Jesus is the ONLY way to the father and the only way to eternal life!!

“Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.” John 17:3

“I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:9-10
