Have we met?

What’s is going on everyone? I hope you had a great holiday.

While Shelly had the reigns, I was out chillin and spending time with the Lord. And in this time with him he really broke down some truths that I was overlooking and I feel he wants me to share it with you all because I know it will help some of you like it did me.

The Lord shared with me that this Christian thing is a Lifestyle and not just a one-stop shop thing. You know what I mean some people say; “o yea I’m a Christian I prayed the prayer and everything.” But when you watch them or hear them you know that can’t be how a Christian acts or talks.

Now don’t get me wrong I’m not pointing anyone out because I used to think like that also but that’s not what the Bible says. However it says in 1 John 2:4 “The person who says, "I KNOW him," but doesn't obey his commandments is A LIAR. The truth isn't in that person.”

Now I asked the Lord, “What do you mean by knowing you?” Then he pointed me to a very scary scripture, you know the kind that would make anyone double check their lives. It was in Matthew 7:21-23 and Jesus said…

“Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter. On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never KNEW you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.”

The word Know means to be intimately familiar with. Think of it this way there are some of you on here that I know because we are friends I have spent time with you some way or another, but there are some on here that I have just met before which is just a one time ‘Hello my name is will’ type of thing. And the Lord is saying a lot of people say they know me, but they only have met me once before!

If you have only met Jesus once you should get to know him… he is a pretty cool guy ;) And besides he already knows and loves everything about you.

And if you are wondering if you really know him ask him just in your prayer time ask him if you two have met or do you know each other. He will tell straight up

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I set you apart for my holy purpose. I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.”
