As I said in the introduction to this blog… WELCOME, WELCOME my brother or sister in Christ.
Before I show you scriptures and say the holy word of God I urge you to ALWAYS check with the master (Jesus) first and make sure what I am telling you is from him. Do not ever just assume that a person who is talking about God and the Bible is always right. The Bible calls the devil a “Lair from the start” also he is called a “wolf in sheep’s cloths”, and he prides himself in deceiving the human race into rebelling against God.
But do not worry, he is a defeated foe, as the Bible says in Colossians 2:13-15 “You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” Also we have the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) who is called our helper or counselor because if you call on him and trust him to guide you than Jesus says in John 8:12,"I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life”. So with that said get your weapon that is the word of God (Bible) (I recommend a New Living Translation, with red letter and concordance in the back) and lets learn to fight.
I want to talk about the BEAUTIFUL, ENDLESS, and POWERFUL mercy of God. Webster Dictionary defines the word Mercy as “compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one's power; compassion, pity, or benevolence”. Better than that translation the word of God says in Ephesians 2:4-5 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)”. This means beloved that once you were Gods enemy and was due for just judgment, but when you decided to make Jesus Lord of your life than that very instant the mercy that Jesus showed by dying on the cross covered what you and I couldn’t keep. As you have seen in John you are a new creation and a new being through Christ Jesus, no you are not perfect and you might make some mistakes in your life but the Lord said in Lamentations 3:22-23 "The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
