Armor That Has Been Tried!!

Hello fellow Warriors for Christ,

I hope everyone had a blessed week, and I thank our Lord for his grace and favor on each one of your lives!

Now that you are in the battle with the enemy, I feel lead by the Lord to show you the armor that you have been assigned by the Lord, this armor has already been tried for centuries and still holds true and strong today.

It is the very armor that our commander and chief (Jesus) used while he was in a human body in this world. In Ephesians 6:10-12 the Bible says “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole Armour (Armor) of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

That word Armour is the King James Version of armor, and when armour is broken down it basically means Arm Our… arm our selves with what? You might be asking… We arm our selves with the armor God has given. The word of God says in Ephesians 6:13-17 “Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”

We are going to dissect every part of this armor over the next couple of weeks. But first we are going to talk about the first piece, which is the belt of truth. When you lie and are found out to be a liar what comes??? It is shame. The belt is the only piece of clothing holding your pants up, they keep you from exposing yourself or (naked body) to the world, so I believe that this belt of truth is doing the same thing for your spirit man that your regular belt does for your pants.

When people say you are a liar and you know you are telling the truth it shouldn’t bother you because you are right in the eyes of the Lord. It is the same with this belt of truth in the spirit. When Adam and Eve first found them selves naked and were ashamed they hid themselves from God. Why did they find themselves naked? Because they lied to themselves when they told themselves that Gods word wasn’t really true, after the enemy tempted them Genesis Ch. 3-4. This IS a BIG LIE!!, Jesus says in Matthew 24: 35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will remain FOREVER!” So you see if you put on the belt of truth you are making sure that you are firmly planted in telling the truth, To God and man. Always remember that NO man is bigger, smarter, or better the our master Jesus Christ!!!!

This means truth in all aspects of your life with God, Family, and Friends. Remember first that if you are not truthful with God he knows all things and examines every mans heart, the bible says in Mark 4:22 “For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, and every secret will be brought to light.” This means everything you think you are hiding will be brought into public view, unless you confess your sins to the Lord.
