How Much Do You Weigh?

Hey everyone!

It has been a while since my last post and I apologize... But I have a good one for you tonight.

This past year I have been working on loosing weight. I have got to my goal weight and am much healthier and happier now. But I worked so hard to loose this weight I want to make sure It stays off. So I weigh myself every three days or so to make sure I stay on track.

Well the other morning while weighing In, In my heart I heard the Lord say " How much does a man soul weigh?" I thought about It for a minute and realized he was talking about our stance with God.

The Bible says In 1 Timothy 4:8 "Physical training Is good, but training for godliness Is much better, promising benefits In this life and In the life to come."

As I thought further Into this I feel I got a good grip on what he was saying here. See we spend billions of dollars a year on things for our physical bodies... muscle milk, protein shakes and vitamins. We have these things called gyms that are totally devoted to physical fitness which Is all great and fine but we also have these other places called churches who are totally devoted (or should be devoted) to your spiritual growth and strength.

I remember when I was a teenager and I knew I wasn’t right with God. I actually felt and pictured my spirit man being weak and timid. When other people who I knew were right with God I remember feeling Intimidated and didn’t hang out with them because I felt lower or sub-par. Now those people didn’t make me feel that way, they were nice and sweet always encouraging. But It was just my spirit man was so weak because It wasn’t "fit."

Some of you reading this may feel weak, feebly and ran over. When you stand on Gods scale the weight of your soul may be anorexic but I was there before... but like millions of others I found strength and health. I now have a powerful, healthy, growing and maturing spirit man In and through Christ Jesus. And It will continue to grow and mature.

So If anyone wants to talk about this In more depth, hallar at me I would love to visit with you and share with you how Jesus the true Christ pumped me up and put some muscle on my spirits skin and bones.
