Hello everyone…I hope everyone is doing well and I also hope you have a good spring break.
I just want to take a minute and share something. In this time I have been away from the blog, God has opened up a lot of stuff and shown me some amazing things. Just some simple things that I have always looked over.
One of those things was about his promises. You know one of the biggest revelations I ever got out of reading the Bible was how much God loves me and cares about me, and I’m not talking about a generic type of care like you would have for someone you barely know. But instead he has a real care, a type of care that means he thinks about my whole life. I could go on and on about that, but on to what I have understood recently.
While doing my one-year bible reading plan I came across the Ark of the Covenant… and all of that Old Testament stuff. If you ever get some time you should read up on it, basically what a covenant is a promise or contract. When we buy houses and renting apartments we have a covenant with the bank or whomever that promises they will do xy and z if we do xy and z.
And that’s what we have with Jesus if you are a Child of God, one important note here is that God will never not keep his end of the deal, and even if we fall short on our end he remains constant. Now that isn’t a license act crazy or anything just an interesting side note.
Anyway the thing about the Ark of the Covenant is that God really plans on keeping it. With people sometimes they don’t care if they keep it or not. But God is so particular about his promises he made a special box that in today’s dollar amount would probably be worth 10’s of millions, to hold it. That box was the Ark of the Covenant, which held the Covenant between God and the children of Israel.
That simple thing just reminded me again how awesome and caring our God is. In the book of Exodus God goes into VAST detail about how the Ark was constructed, what and how it was made, who can carry it and even who can go near it! As a matter of fact one dude who wasn’t on the list to touch it tried to catch it when it was falling and was killed instantly for touching it!
So I’ll leave you with this… if God cares that much for the box that carried his promises, how much MORE does he care for the actual promise itself and even more so, how much MORE does he care for his children that the promises are made for?
Trust Him Always,
