Promotion is on the Way

I love how God can take the most difficult, trying circumstances in our lives and turn them around for our good. He can use those challenging times to strengthen and sharpen us; to advance us farther in life than we would have gotten on our own. We may not always understand or see how God is going to turn things around, but that's when we have to stand in faith and keep believing that God is working behind the scenes on our behalf.

In Genesis 39, I'm sure Joseph didn't consider that being thrown into prison for something he didn't do would actually turn out to be the catalyst for the most significant promotion of his life. After all, it hadn't been that long ago that he was sold into slavery by his own brothers to begin with. It looked like things had gone from bad to worse for Joseph, but do you know what he did? He stayed faithful. He kept honoring the Lord and doing the right thing even when the wrong thing was happening. He kept his heart pure even when he was falsely accused, forgotten, and mistreated. And his promotion didn't happen immediately. In fact, it took several years; but when the time was right, Joseph went from being a slave in jail to being the second highest–ranking official in the land.

You may be going through a difficult time today. You may have lost your job, you may have been wrongly accused of things or been taken advantage of; but remember, promotion comes from the Lord. He knows where you are, and He knows how to get you where you need to be. Your faith and trust in Him will keep you moving forward in the spiritual realm no matter what it looks like in the natural realm. Keep believing, keep hoping, keep trusting because your promotion is on the way!
