The Blood

What’s going on everyone long time no type! I hope everyone enjoyed Shelly and the stuff she brought up. I’ll be taking it from here though, so lets get into it.

Also I want to give a BIG CONGRATES to my girl Lacey Brown for doing here thing on American Idol. We here at warrior ministries are proud of you homegirl, and I’m blessed to call you my friend.

Ok, now with all that mushy stuff out the way, I’m really excited to talk to you. While I was gone the Lord dropped a bomb on me about a biblical truth that is so simple but still so important, and Unfortunately even his children tend to forget it sometimes.

What I’m talking about is the forgiveness and the Cleansing power of the Blood of Jesus! Pledge, Johnson & Johnson and Windex cant even compare to what the blood does for us. And it’s sad… it really is because through the years religion has taken this concept and manipulated it watered it down and just plain lied about it.

The Bible talks about the blood as the ultimate sanctifier, Isaiah 53:5 “But he was pierced for our REBELLION, crushed for OUR SINS. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed.”

The main thing I’m getting at is that a lot of people (including myself) would sin, ask for forgiveness and not feel so forgiven. I mean I would beat myself up for sinning in the first place and then feel condemned for days.

But then the Holy Spirit sat me down and revealed to me what happens when we confess our sins, and plead the blood over it. In 1 John 1:9 the Bible says, “If we confess our sins, He is SO faithful and just that He forgives us our sins and CLEANSES us from ALL unrighteousness.”

The Lord showed me the very essence of this scripture. When God cleanses us by the blood of Jesus that’s exactly what he does. He doesn’t just dunk us in some water, throw us in the cabinet and calls us cleansed. No! the word cleans means to clean and when something is clean it has no more dirt on it, it is ready for use again.

But than I asked the Lord a dumb question, I asked him how can an all knowing God forget my sin? And he pointed me to Hebrews 10:17 “AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE”

So in Gods holy eyes once I confess my sin to him he forgives in and forgets it, and so should I.

So if your feeling guilty about some sin you did 10 years ago, 10 weeks ago, 10 days ago or even 10 minutes ago STOP IT IN JESUS NAME! Trust me it will make you sick I know from experience. Just obey God by confessing it and trust the blood to wash it.

So the next time the enemy comes to you and tries to remind you about something you did in the past that you have already confessed and received forgiveness. I dare you to say this….

“Sin, What sin?… I have no clue what you’re talking about, anything I have done God forgot it and Jesus’ blood cleansed it. And I have no unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:9 and Hebrews 10:17.”

Now THIS DOES NOT GIVE US A PASS TO SIN EITHER! And for those of you who think it does, I’ll show you what the Bible has to say about that.... but next week though!!!

Love ya’ll
