Gimmy Got His Neck Broke!

The next to last step that I would like to share with you in getting your prayers answered is actually based on a rebuke the Lord gave me when I was studying this.

See I had a problem… I would get upset, shoot borderline mad at God if I didn’t think my prayer was answered if what I saw wasn't what I though it should have been. So God in his goodness and discipline told me very sternly, “When you get your answer sometimes it just doesn’t look like the answer because it’s not how you imagined!”

See what we as Christians sometimes do not understand is that we serve a very cool God. See I’m advertising major so I have a creative mind; well God has blown me away by his creativeness. I mean He mad a man out of dirt and a women out of bones. He made hundreds of thousands of animals some we have never even seen yet. If it were up to me I would have put one black dot on one fish and a blue dot on the other and called it a day HA…. But not God that’s not the God we serve. He is all knowing, all-powerful and all loving!

What I'm getting at is that you and I may be praying for the same thing, but God in his wonders may answer you one way; which seems more direct to you and in direct to me. And answer me a totally different way which may seem in direct to you but direct to me, but we still got our prayer answered! Do you dig what I’m saying?

I really encourage you to read Isaiah 55. In this chapter the Lord says that his thoughts and ways are higher than ours. Well later on he said, “That his word will not return to him void, that he sends it out and it will accomplish all HE wants it to.” Isaiah 55:11, 55:8-9. This is saying that every word God has ever said in his Bible whether it be sooner or later it WILL happen.

So we may pray for more money but what the Lord may want is for us to have the wisdom concerning the money we have, because he may have a bigger financial miracle that we didn’t even ask for around the corner. This is why we can never be frustrated because we think its not working or delaying. We must always be excited about the Lords work because he has so much for us and we must be ready to receive. The Bible says, “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:11-12.

I want to encourage you to keep pushing remember this Christian life is tough sometimes and it’s a fight, that’s why you are a Warrior for the Lord Jesus. If you have been living right, believing and following the Lord when you fall and when you stand while praying for a long time but still don’t see results… don’t fret or be anxious for the Lord hears you and he will answer. JUST DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!

“Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.
It will not be delayed.” Habakkuk 2:2-3
