Loving Through Tithing

Hey yall! Hope all is well with everyone. This week I’m going to begin to share with you the three main ways the Bible talks about worshiping God and love your neighbor with your money.

The first main way is TITHING, now look at what I’m about to type very carefully… GOD COMMANDS Tithing, and if you are not tithing you are in sin.

Tithe is Greek for tenth it means the tenth of your increase. Back in the Old Testament their increase was cattle and sheep so they would give to God out of that but now our increase is stone cold $. Also another point is you tithe off your Gross income not the net or after taxes. So if you made $600 Gross and the Government took out $55 for taxes you owe God $60.00.

I know the world has a bad view on giving money to the church and thinks it is a sham, but let me show you what God has to say about it!

Pretty much everyone knows Malachi 3:10 when the Lord God says to, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple.” But the problem with Christians today is that some think Jesus did away with the tithe because we are not bound to the old anymore but bound to him.

Well that sounds good but READ YOUR BIBLE. After arguing with some Pharisees about giving to the poor Jesus said in Matthew 23:23, “ What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are careful to tithe even the tiniest income from your herb gardens, but you ignore the more important aspects of the law—justice, mercy, and faith. You should tithe, yes, but do not neglect the more important things.”

Well Looky here what JESUS himself says at the tail end of this scripture, “You SHOULD TITHE, YES, but do not neglect the more important things.”

So after me showing you this I have now given solid PROOF on tithing being commanded and in the New Testament, anyone who wants to argue over it isn’t fighting against me but the Holy Spirit himself. And don’t take my word for it PLEASE pick up your BIBLE and read it for yourself.

Now that tenth of your increase goes to YOUR church! God has a plan for that money and it is going to bless someone else. Your church has or should have system with the tithe that comes in, ask your pastors what it is they do with it!

The Lord showed me how giving your tithes boil down to loving God and loving your neighbor….

You get that $600 check from work, and you tithe the $60. You’re church than takes that tithe and sends it to the bus ministry, and what you didn’t know is it takes $120 to give the bus enough gas to make its rounds on Sunday. Well the bus ministry only had $60 for the gas and could only do one trip then they get your $60 providing them with the full $120 they need.

Still with me?…. good ;) pay close attention.

Now across town there is a homeless drunk who lives where the bus makes its last stop, and he finally decides to attend church that Sunday. Now at church he hears the gospel and gives his life to the Lord! The next week he dies of a heart attack and goes to heaven.

BECAUSE OF YOUR OBEDIENCE AND LOVE TO GOD AND HIS WORD YOU HELPED SAVE A SOUL!!!!!

That my friends is how you Love God and Love people with your money, can you imagine what would have happened to the homeless man if you didn’t obey God and his word about tithing?
