Have You?

Long time, no type… Hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying there summer.

From the get go we MUST understand that the primary goal of this life is to follow Jesus, not money. The Bible says in Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

This verse is following a chapter when Jesus is talking about finances. God later promises us in his word that if we keep him and his kingdom our PRIMARY concern then he will give us all we need from day to day.

You know... one of the best ways to learn something is to look at another’s life. So I did just that!

I studied the man who the Bible says was the most richest and wisest man who has ever or will ever live… King Solomon.

Now when reading about him the 1st thing that jumped out to me was what he asked God, he followed Matthew 6:33 before it was even written, he sought after God!

God himself asked the King what he wanted and promised that he would give it to him, so instead of money, women or power he asked for wisdom concerning what God gave him. And this is what God said in response 1 Kings 3:10-13:

“The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for wisdom. So God replied, “Because you have asked for wisdom in governing my people with justice and have not asked for a long life or wealth or the death of your enemies—I will give you what you asked for! I will give you a wise and understanding heart such as no one else has had or ever will have! And I will also give you what you did not ask for—riches and fame! No other king in all the world will be compared to you for the rest of your life!

So I’ll end this week’s blog with this question… “Have you been consumed with chasing money or chasing God?”

If you are guilty of chasing money 1st its okay God still Loves you, just repent and make him your #1 again… See ya next week
