What up party people? Hope all is well with everyone. Well the days of class are getting shorter and shorter.
Before we start I just want to send a shout out to all of yall graduating, rather at WT or anywhere. You have accomplished something that few have and Glory b to God for it!
Now picking up from last week I just wanted to lay the groundwork of how God will answer your prayers. AND THIS STUFF IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT STEP IN GETTING PRAYER RESULTS.
1st off you MUST be a follower of Jesus. Jesus himself said in John 15:7, “But if you REMAIN in me and my words REMAIN in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!”
Notice the word remain, that word means to stay behind or in the same place. See a lot of people pray for stuff and when they don’t get it they are quick to blame God, but we must REMAIN in him.
We can’t be with him for a week and go clubbin living crazy the next. The Lord said in Hebrews 10:29, “Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.”
But Following God is a DAY-TO-DAY thing, and yes you may mess up and fall short but you CERTIANLY don’t have too. There is a VAST difference between remaining in him and playing with him! God says in Revelation 3:16, “But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth!”
But the good news is that we serve a God who like the bible says, “is SLOW to ANGER and FILLED with UNFAILING LOVE, FORGIVING every kind of sin and rebellion. But he does not EXCUSE the guilty. He lays the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations.”
So my friends before we move on we need look in ourselves and see if we have completed this 1st and very important step. And if you haven’t all it takes is a decision to follow Jesus asking him for forgiveness and help, than read his word and all he wants you to do is in his Holy text.
I myself come to you not as a perfect man but as a broken one. I have committed many sins against the Lord and have broken his heart plenty of times, but he threw away my record when I made this first step and called on the name of Jesus. So I know from first hand experience that this is true.
“But everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”– Acts 2:21
