Hola mi amigos!
How is everyone we only have a couple more days and this semester is wrapped up! It’s crazy to me it seemed like February was just 3 months ago, wait It was ;)
ANYWAY
The next step we must take as believers in order to get your prayers answered is to ASK! God is so awesome and loving. Most Christians do not realize the power of asking. All through the Bible God told his children to ‘ask’.
We have this perception that God is some kid on an anthill frying us under a magnifying glass. The Lord does not want us to lack in any area of life, “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.” It says in 2 Corinthians 8:9
Now before some of you get all hung up let me explain what this means…. The word rich in the text means; abounding in desirable elements or qualities. A lot of people hear rich and think of Donald Trump.
That shallow thinking, a person can be rich in: Love, Joy, Peace, Money, and Happiness or a billion other God given attributes.
So here is the proof that God Almighty doesn’t want his children to lack or suffer, “This is to my Father's glory, that you BEAR MUCH FRUIT, showing yourselves to be my disciples.” – John 15: 8.
So instead of thinking that we honor God by lack, Jesus said in this scripture that we honor him by having, not just a little but MUCH!
I often check myself and ask the Lord if he sees the fruit of the spirit Jesus speaks of in me. I encourage you to do the same! If you don’t know, this is the fruit that God wants to see in each of us, and if it is there and we show it to our fellow man God is GLORIFIED!
Ask the Lord if he sees you bearing this fruit and if he doesn’t that doesn’t mean its not there it just means that we aren’t exercising it. Pray for opportunities to bear the fruit and they will come. And once God gets what he wants than we get what we need/want. All we have to do is ASK… have you?
John 5:22-23
“But the fruit of the Spirit is LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS AND SELF-CONTROL. Against such things there is no law.”
