The Truth

What’s up everyone! I hope all is well

This week’s blog is going to be short but sweet. Remember I was talking about the tithe last week and how we as Christians are COMMANDED to do so? Well I have got some more scriptures to back me.

Have you ever wondered where the money goes? I remember as a kid I thought that all the money from the tithe was gathered up and put in a big rocket ship and sent up to heaven!

I know better know, in fact the money stays in your home church and goes to fund evangelist out in the world. If your church is a true New Testament church than they fund many different outreach ministries, remember we are commanded to preach the good news to ALL men. Well in this new day and age how do you think we can do that the church has no money? We can’t just magically appear in India or Japan. No it takes plane tickets equipment and all that other stuff.

Also, your tithe goes to pay your pastors, the bible says in 1 Corinthians 9:14, “In the same way, the Lord ordered that those who preach the Good News should be supported by those who benefit from it.” I mean com’ on your pastors and preachers work hard for you! As a matter of fact, the word says that they will be judged harder because they have been given charge over your souls.

It trips me out how people will bug out because they see a pastor in a nice suit and driving a benz and having a phat house, but they wont say a thing when they see the rapper or sinner having those things. If you’re that way than check yourself!

Also, remember we are just commanded to pay the tithe and yes there are some wicked people claiming to be pastors, and if they are miss using the funds than they will answer to God for that, but he will be happy with you because you OBEYED him.

I encourage you to ask your pastors what happens to the tithe? How do they spend it? What missionaries do we support as a church? If your pastoral staff is really true than he will share openly what happened to the funds I know Pastor David at Victory Church does. But above all pray and seek the truth in the Word for yourself and God will honor that and He will answer your questions

“5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind.” – James 1:5
