Well 1 week of school down and about 17 left! I hope everyone had a good week getting adjusted to this crazy schedule the school has us on.
Well last week I said that I was going to share with you guys some stuff that I practice and have been practicing every since I’ve been saved.
These things may seem small to the novice, but in actuality they are powerful tools that God has blessed us with.
The 1st practice is prayer; when I studied this out I found that the word is used as two main actions in the Bible.
There is the act of PRAYING, (which the Bible describes as: Interceding with or making petition to God)
Than there is there is PRAYER, (which the Bible describes as a conversation with God in praise, thanksgiving or intercession)
The way I understand and practice praying is to talk to God about everything! I mean I talk to him bout my dog, bout my school, bout my job, bout my relationships and friendships I mean EVERYTHING!
In fact the word says in Philippians 4:6, “ Worry about nothing, but pray for EVERYTHING.” See so it is proven in scripture that God is a God who cares for his kids and wants to be involved in everything we do, shoot, I found out in Sunday school that the prophet Elisha prayed that God will help him find and AXE Head!
1 Thessalonians 5:17 says, “Never stop praying!”
So I encourage you all to pray to God all the time, you don’t need to be a special person a holy person or a perfect person, Jesus said, “come as you are!” The only thing that you MUST DO to be sure the prayer is lifted to heaven is stamp it with the name of Jesus because he is the ONLY reason and the ONLY name we can use in the face of God.
I’ll leave this final testimony of mine! My whole life I have always prayed for God to use me as his microphone to say what he wants me to say. I know it sounds like a after school special, but even when I was a kid I would lay in bed and just talk to God and Jesus like I would a normal person. Well now I am walking in the beginnings of that prayer coming to pass.
I am a Mass Comm major and reach hundreds of people a week spreading the news of our Lord and his word!!!! Tell me that prayer don’t work, I dare you!!!! ;)
