The Christian's Kicks!!!

Hello warriors I hope every one had a blessed week. We will continue our break down of Ephesians 6:13-18, for this week we will discuss the shoes of peace.

You may be saying “ that’s strange… why would Paul tell us to put on shoes of peace, why would we need shoes in a battle”? Well the Lord our God has an answer, Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words defines peace as: (To Hold One’s) which refers to holding your peace, being still and quiet.

Now my brothers and sisters, lately the enemy has been doing all he knows to do to me to try and take my peace. The devil will do the same to you he will send his demons to you and to those around you to hit your soft spots and try to make you stop focusing on Jesus!

Matthew 14: verses 22-33 have an excellent story on why your peace is so important.
“During the fourth watch of the night Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. "It's a ghost," they said, and cried out in fear.
But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."
28"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water."
29"Come," he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!"
31 IMMEDIATELY Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"
32And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

I want to break down this story and present it to you with a different light. Now at the beginning Jesus told Peter to take courage, which means in our language “ Do not worry”. Now Peter started out fine like all of us do in our Christian life, but when Peter saw the wind and waves he got intimidated and as soon as he took his eyes off the Lord and on the surrounding danger the Bible says he began to sink! Than the word says IMMEDIATELY Jesus saved him. I want you to know that if you are peaceless or hurting in anyway God will IMMEDIATLEY save you.

Now to relate this to you and me. We must understand and realize to keep our eyes stayed on God, In Isaiah 26: verse 3 God promises,"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you." . But if we dont we will get caught up in the flesh and worries of this world, and begin sinking. But beloved I come to tell you today that as soon as you gave your life over to Christ he gave you his peace that the Bible says in Philippians 4:7NEVER WORRY about anything. But in every situation let God know what you need in prayers and requests while giving thanks And the PEACE of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

So my friends you see why peace is such a vital part of your armor, because the Devil knows that if he takes your peace than he will not have to worry about you doing anything for God’s kingdom. Always remember friends that Our Lord cares when your smile is gone from your face, and when the sparkle is gone out of your eye, but I have been sent by our gracious father in Heaven to tell you that he wants to talk to you come to him with your WHOLE heart and God promises you that the Holy spirit will give you peace and no one will take it away!!!!!!

But I must warn you from mistakes I have maid myself. Some times and most of the time the enemy is not trying to take your peace but you handed it over by not following owner Master and God… Jesus. So if you are not having peace in your heart or feel a discomfort and have no clue where it is coming from, come to the Lord and he will gladly answer you and reveal, show, and help fix the leak which is draining your peace from your soul. Trust me you will NEVER find REAL peace anywhere else except in Christ alone!
