Relentless

Hey... I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

I'm going to finish up what I started talking about last week. For those who don’t know and are new to the blogs I say welcome. Feel free to go to http://warriorministry.blogspot.com/ to catch up on past blogs.

Ok, we started talking about being contained in certain areas of life. I said that even if someone is saved and right with God, they could still be contained by things or people.

Well the way you beat containment is by relentlessly and intensely applying the truth about that area. For instance, lets say you are contained by anxiety, well you break that containment by relentlessly and intensely applying the truth about that area which is when Jesus said “be anxious for nothing.”

So every time anxiousness rears its head you beat the crap out of it with your faith in what Jesus has said about it.

The bible says in John 8:36, “he who the son has set free is free indeed.” That means free from all people, situations and sins.

The only way someone can be contained after they have been set free by Jesus is if they CHOSE to do it. Before you had no choice but to give into your sinful nature because you were a slave to it. But if you are a christian your master is Jesus and his yoke is easy.

Think of it this way... a slave to someone has no choice but to report to his master and do what he says. But a free man, the only time he has to go back to that same master is if he chooses to do so.

Also remember that this is not a one quick fix, this is something you have to work at constantly... every time that area of containment comes up. Relentlessly and intensely apply the truth about it and you will beat it every time.

Think of it like this... If you are in a locked closet, you know that the only way you can get out is if you intensely and relentlessly hit and kick that door until it opens right? Same thing here folks God in his power has given us the right to choose what we will do in every situation, and if you are saved you are no longer bound by sin and can chose not to be contained.

I have felt like some of you, maybe someone reading this has an area in their life that every time you say enough, it says shut up! Every time you stand up it seems like it sits you back down. You feel weak, powerless, frail and a bunch of other things. Well I’ve got good news... “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him (Jesus) who loved us.” Romans 8:37

Remember this as Christians you tell sin whats up, it doesn’t tell you.
