Where Is Your Sign

What is up everyone?…. I know I know, a lot of yall are upset because the blog has been MIA, well that’s my fault, Shelly and I have both been EXTREMELY busy with stuff in our personal. But that’s no excuse, so again I apologize to all the faithful readers we have, however we are BACK and I hope you’re ready because I have some good stuff coming your way right now!!!!!!

Where Is Your Sign
My wife and I just bought a knew home, and all through the neighborhood you see these stickers, flyers and ground stakes that have a certain security companies logo on it. And these signs sole purpose is to ward off any potential criminals who would try to break in.


Well I was looking at the ones around my neighborhood and seeing all the signs on people’s homes and the Lord spoke to my heart and told me, “ Is your sign up?” So confused I asked the Lord what did he mean… and he told me, “I’m not talking about a physical sign on that you put on your window or back door, I’m talking about a sign that is put on your soul and heart that lets everyone know that YOU ARE MINE, AND THAT YOUR HEART IS GAURDED BY ME!”

Well, I thought more about it and it finally started making more sense, you see once you get saved and become one with Christ you get a sign, and I’m talking about really becoming one with him, not this “I’ll go to church just on Christmas and Easter, hang a cross in my car and claim to be a Christian while I live like Hell” stuff either. But I’m talking about truly making him your savior.

This sign is something you can’t physically see but you know you have it, and like the security companies signs this new one you possess is designed to ward off enemies from trying to come in and break or steal stuff.

The Bible says that the Devil is our enemy and he comes to kill, steal and destroy. A lot of people don’t know this but Jesus gave us full authority to stop the Devil from working in our lives, if you are saved and right with God the you have the authority to tell the Devil to leave or stop, or tell him not even to come near you! Want proof?…

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind (allow) on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose (allow) on earth will be loosed in heaven Matthew 16:19

Jesus is speaking in these scriptures, and through his name and power that you inherited as soon as you became a believer you can do these things! Through his name you can say, “Devil you have no dominion in my house” or “Satan I DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO GO NEAR MY CHILD!”

Away with this “give me that ole time religion” stuff, where people have the mindset that whatever happens just happens and we cant stop it. I thought like that once and I was a miserable Christian, yes I was save and going to heaven that is the BEST, but my life on earth was crappy!

But then the Lord showed me this truth about the authority I have through him and my life has been unbelievable ever since. Every morning when I have my prayer time I always spend a chunk of it telling the devil and all his demons that they’ll get slid if they even come near my Wife or home today. I bind him from my job, money, relationships… everything God has given me authority over I let the enemy know what’s up.

Now I know some of you reading may think this is stupid and that I am talking about some spooky stuff and. And I’m not talking about dodging trouble because as humans we all will face that, and as Christians we will run into a bunch of it, however I am simply talking about finding peace and safety in that trouble and guarding yourself.

I am not being prideful or boasting about myself, and I dang sure am not talking about the Devil being afraid of me, or doing what I say because I’m Big Will Mitchell and I’m just that bold. Are you kidding me?! The Devil would wear me out if I fought alone…. But I’m not fighting alone, I am in the one who has already won the fight and he is the source of my boldness, HIS SIGN is on my heart… what about yours?

“If you make the Most High your dwelling, even the LORD, who is my refuge- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.” Psalm 91:9-10
