I got my mind on my money and my money on my mind

I got my mind on my money and my money on my mind!!!! Snoop had it wrong there should be ONLY and one persosn who has our whole mind.

What’s up everyone, Thanks for taking the time to read today! I wont take too much of your time. I found something that I thought was amazing the other day and I just want to share it.

You know people have plenty of different views about God, some see him as a foreign being that has nothing to do with his creation, or some may see him as someone of extreme royalty and can only be approached by someone of a higher rank then them. Although the last one is true he is of extreme royalty and can only be approached by us as humans if we have someone of extreme rank to go with us, and that person is Jesus Alone.

But even though God is holy and Jesus is perfect, I have come to find in my young walk with the Lord that he is extremely loving and caring too.

I was reading the other day when Jesus was talking about the greatest commandments and he was telling us to love him with ALL our heart, mind, soul and strength and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves Matt 22:36-40. Now over the years I have picked apart this scripture and have been shown a lot by the Holy Spirit, and thought I had it all! But I was ignorant to think that because I will NEVER, we will NEVER know all there is to know about the Lord and his word here on earth. There is always some more meat on the bone… (Like my cousin would say about eating Buffalo wings)

So I went back through and researched each area where Jesus told us to love him in. and all of them were great, but there was one that when I got down to the root of it… it showed me how much God really does want and good relationship with us.

This area I’m talking about is when Jesus said to love him with and out of our whole MIND. Now for years I thought that just meant to not think of evil and sin and all that stuff, which was a true but a primitive thought. When I broke the word down, it means ones memory, his reason, and his speech.

So I thought about it for a while and it hit me, God wants us to love him with our minds, which are in these three areas.

With our

Memory: this means to love him by remembering what he has done for you in the past, little and big things.

Reason: this your basis or cause, so I see it as thinking of why it is I serve him and love him. What is the primary cause? Is it because he saved me from hell OR because I am trying to fool him and do it for a while to get what I want then leave.

Speech: this is easy enough, its just talking about him and what he has done for you. Telling your testimony to the world.

I know most of you probably do this already, but for those who don’t I challenge you to love him in the area of your mind by remembering what he has done, knowing the real reason why you serve and talk about it to your friends and family. I did this as I went throw my day and it brought God and I that much closer.

My brother in law who is a man that loves the Lord with his all told me something once and it has always stuck… he said “ even if God doesn’t do anything else for me in my life. I still couldn’t give him enough praise for what he has already done”

We must love him because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19

Love you all
