What’s up Warriors?
How is everyone doing? Are you ready for spring break, I know I am. Did you know that after spring break we only have like four weeks of school left!? That’s crazy.
Also I want to remind everyone to renew your fafsa so ole’ Uncle Sam can cut you a check for school next semester! But I know from personal experience that it is not the government, parents or scholarships that pays for school but it is the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.
Anyway this week I wanted to continue on some biblical principals that I have practiced and seen the mighty results. This weeks practice is “Be Humble.”
Humble means to not think too highly of yourself, bring low or prostrate. AND IT IS HARD TO DO!!! This may seem weird because all our life we have been taught by the world to think about me me me me! But the Lord teaches the opposite he said in Proverbs 3:34, “ The Lord mocks mockers, but he shows favor to the HUMBLE.”
So God said that he would show you favor which is kindness or approval, if you humble yourself. See a lot of the people today think they are just the beez neez, and that people should serve them. But Jesus didn’t come down and do that; no he HUMBLED himself enough to DIE for us. And trust me Jesus ate a big hunk of humble pie when he said, “father forgive them for they know not what they do” as he was dieing on that cross.
The Lord Jesus gives us a very plain blueprint for success in Mark 10:43-45
“Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant. And whoever of you desires to be first shall be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
So my friends I encourage you to show humility to your fellow man and in actuality you are showing it to the Lord. Also pray for opportunities to be humble and you will feel the favor of God come into your life.
READ MARK 10 THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH AND PRAY FOR UNDERSTANDING, FOR THE REAL ESSENCE OF WHAT JESUS IS SAYING IS IN THE TEXT.
Be Blessed
