The Key Feature

Ok warriors, this piece of armor is perhaps the most important of all. Because you cannot even begin to operate any of the other pieces without this one, it is the Helmet of Salvation.

Salvation is described in the Bible as " deliverence from slavery." Now some of you may be saying " I have never been a slave to anything my whole life!" Well, you are wrong there because we were all once a slave to sin until Christ set us free. But I have good news, we have been set free from the power of sin and are no longer captives to it. The Bible says in Luke 4:8 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that CAPTIVES will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free,19 and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.[f]” It also says in Romans 7:6 " But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer CAPTIVE to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit."

The helmet of salvation is so vital to us as Christians because we have to settle in our minds that we are saved, no matter how we feel or what we think we must stand firm in the promises of God! The helmet protects your mind it gives you a clear mind and keeps the enemy from planting seeds of doubt. The Devil has planted those seeds in my mind before, and when I started putting the helmet of salvation on he could not stand up against God and his might!

This salvation gives you confidence that your are made right and holy in Gods eyes, BUT ONLY THROUGHT THE FINISHED WORKS OF JESUS CHRIST , and your personal belief in him as the true son of God are you made that way.

Always remember beloved that salvation is a free gift from God, it cannot be bought or earned. No person is "good enough" to get it. the Bible concludes that only God is holy and all people are sinners until Jesus gave us this free gift of salvation.

So I end this weeks post with a waringing friends. Some people think that One saved always saved. But thats not how it works... as I said before you cannot live in sin and all yourself a true Christian! Jesus said that you can't serve two masters. In Jude 1:4 it says, " But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people. 4 I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ."

I urge you if you have a Bible to read the book of Jude this week and pray and seek the Lord and ask for the Holy Spirit to reveal and show you the truth of his word, so you can be sure that your helmet of salvation is made out of CAST IRON and not Aluminium Foil! Be Blessed
